NCACIA Yearly Awards Ceremony

Every year in December, the National Crimes Against Children Investigators Association hosts a dinner in The Woodlands, Texas, to honor those who have achieved unbelievable success in fighting for the protection and wellbeing of children. Award winners will be provided with a plaque commemorating their accomplishment, and a certificate awarding them the NCACIA Professional Elite status and associated membership (for more information, click here). The following awards will be presented yearly:

  • Nationally Recognized, Detective of the Year

  • Nationally Recognized, Prosecutor of the Year

  • Nationally Recognized, Social Worker of the Year

  • Nationally Recognized, Forensic Interviewer of the Year

  • Nationally Recognized, Forensic Nurse of the Year

Only current NCACIA Professional Members can nominate a professional for one of these awards.  In order to nominate someone for this award you must send an email to info@ncacia.org by October 1st of that same year, with "Nomination" in the subject line. The email nomination must contain the following information:

  • The name of the person being nominated.

  • The profession of the person being nominated.

  • The contact information (phone number and email address) of the person being nominated.

  • A narrative containing information about why the person should be selected for one of these awards, listing all of the accomplishments that they had achieved that year, and previously.

  • The names and contact information for two professional resources that can be contacted to verify this information.

  • A digital, professional-looking photograph of the person being nominated.

It should be noted that this information will be reviewed and voted on by the NCACIA Board of Directors, and while not everyone will be selected for one of these awards, our Board of Directors may see fit to still recognize your nominee and award them with the Professional Elite status and membership if they have indeed earned that honor.
